Cesspit of a Planet
No wonder our planet is turning into a cesspit, if it is allowed to pour one’s emotional sewage all over the place!

To revenge or to forgive or to ignore
“The weak revenge, the strong forgive, the intelligent ignore.” The saying came at the right moment, for I was entangled in an irrelevant matter that was best ignored. I took some time to ponder about the wise words and realized that the upper words of wisdom need examples.

Knots in Relationships
To untie a knot one has to be very patient and gentle. Conflicts in love relationships demand the same effort.

A brand new five-star-review for my book by a psychiatrist from USA
Balancing the Beast: A Bright View of Schizoaffective Disorder is a wonderful book which does a great job explaining schizoaffective disorder. It is very well written and easy to read. It covers the differential diagnosis and various treatment options. This is a great book for both psychiatrists and their patients. I give it a 5 star Excellent rating. By Gregg L. Friedman MD, Psychiatrist, Hallandale Beach, FL

The irresistible extremes
It is true that Aristotle wrote about the golden middle or in other words about moderation in all things, but this is usually the toughest way of life. Exaggeration on the other hand is a lot easier. Why? Because one does not have to think and make decisions about how to reach the golden middle. One simply exaggerates in everything and makes oneself and others believe that one is right.

The Inexhaustible Wish for Others to Change. Have you felt it too? It is strong, isn't it? And repeatedly we are being told by wise men and women that we should change ourselves not the people around us. I believe in that too. Only sometimes I think it can be overrated in the sense that I confuse it with something else: setting some limitations in order to protect myself (self-defense).

Work for people or work against them
In the end it is not so important what we do, as long as it is legal. It is the attitude we do it with that counts. Either you work for people or you work against them.

You, Mental Illness and the Rest of the World
Having been faced with a mental illness, there is always the danger of going to extremes. Either one closes up on himself/herself, becomes convinced that nobody understands him/her and strives to resolve the problem on his/her own, which is usually too difficult. Or one expects of his/her doctors, relatives and friends to do everything, even his/her part, which would be the other extreme.

Winter Depression
Last but not least, when depression is so deep that one cannot find the strength to get out of bed, visualizing spring scenery can be helpful. It might give us just enough energy to be able to get out of bed and catch a glimpse of that list of activities on the wall.
